Are Pelican Rest Cabins suitable for families?

Our Family, Deluxe and 2 bedroom cabins are ideal for families.

 

Do you have a pool or a playground?                                                                                       

We have a heated 12-metre Aqua Therapy Pool. Happy to provide you with directions to local playgrounds all within a walk or short drive.

 

Are pets allowed?

Yes, we are Pet-Friendly. Conditions apply. Designated Pet-Friendly cabin available. However, we do enforce that your pets do not disturb the abundant bird life in our native gardens.

 

What type of car parking facilities do you have?

Each of our cabins has parking available for one vehicle per cabin. Additional vehicle or boats can be accommodated in our overflow car park area. We also have areas for large vehicle parking: trucks, boats and trailers, buses etc.

 

Is Pelican Rest Cabins wheelchair friendly?

All of our cabins have a least two steps to access the cabin. We do have a disability bathroom in our amenaties block. 

 

Is there a Restaurant onsite at Pelican Rest?

No. All of our cabins have basic cooking facilities. However, there are great local restaurants. You are welcome to use our Camp Kitchen with BBQ’s, Pizza Oven etc. There is also a courtesy bus service provided by the local hotels.

 

Are there BBQ facilities?

Yes, there is a BBQ area for guests to enjoy next to our Camp Kitchen.

 

Is there a guest laundry?

Yes. We have coin operated washing machines and dryers available for guests to use at all times throughout their stay. We also have a number of clotheslines near the laundry.

 

How far away is the town centre of  St George?

Only a short distance: approx 1.5km.

 

What type of payments do you accept?

Payments can be made securely online at the time of booking or at reception by cash, Eftpos or credit (VISA and MasterCard).  We don’t accept American Express or Diners. Direct deposit to our bank account is also available. No cheques accepted.

 

Is smoking allowed?

No. All of our cabins are strictly non-smoking. However, if you choose to smoke outside away from the glass door and windows of the cabins (which must be closed) we also ask that you consider nearby guests if you choose to smoke on the veranda.

 

Is there internet access in the cabins?

Yes. Wifi is available in all of our cabins and throughout the park. Please advise reception and we will provide you with the password for access. This is a free service provided to our guests only.

 

Do we have to bring our own linen?

No. All the beds in cabins are provided with linen and towels.

 

Are the cabins air-conditioned?

Yes. All of our cabins have split system reverse cycle air conditioners in the living area of the cabin. The windows/ doors have security screens so that you can also enjoy the beautiful summer breezes!

 

Do the cabins have a telephone connection?

No.

 

Do the cabins have an iron & ironing board?

Yes. All cabins have an iron and board. Studio cabins may borrow these facilities from reception.

 

What time is check in?

Check-in is from 2.00pm, however, if your cabin has already been prepared an earlier check-in may be possible.

 

What time is check out?

The departure time is 10.00am. If you require a later departure please advise us at check in and we will let you know if it is possible. Of course, always subject to availability.

 

What if we won’t be there to check in before reception closes at 6.30pm?

This is usually no problem. Please contact our office to make prior arrangements for late check-in. (Accommodation must be paid for prior to arrival).
